Honey Festival Information & History
August 8-9th, 2014
The Honey Festival has been a yearly tradition in our town since 1970! This year we are changing things up! We are now starting our event on Friday Night with the events being Confirmed and the Canteen will be open for supper serving hot dogs and burgers and all kinds of snacks.
Saturday will begin as normal with our Free Pancake Breakfast followed by the Parade. However as the parade progresses there will be a very pleasing aroma coming from the park as our 2nd annual Chili Cook-off will be underway in time for everyone to be the judge for lunch. You can let the kids play all day at our Playland Of Milk & Honey, sponsored by all of the Milk & Honey producers in the area! At this playland you will find a carnival, photo boards, an archery range, a bouncy park for all ages, mural painting, toys, crafts, and so much more. Our bouncy park will include and play zone for toddlers, sumo wrestling, boxing, slide and bouncy castle!
Saturday evening is being confirmed so stay tunned!!!!!!
We end the night with the best Fireworks in the area Sponsored by our Ward 5 Councillor, the One and Only Clif Bakx!!
Join us to celebrate this fantastic weekend! Special thanks to all of our Sponsors past, present and future, this could not happen without you!
